behind my music ministry — guest feature from church member Tom Miller
What I love most about creating songs is the opportunity to take a simple melody, heartfelt words, and a willing heart—and offer them to God to encourage someone else. For me, songwriting is more than making music. It is a way to share His Word, His grace, and the hope we have in Jesus Christ.
My passion for this ministry has a personal beginning. I came to know Jesus Christ as my Savior while watching Christian television. Ever since then, I have had a special love for Christian television, radio, and music. Because Christian broadcasting played such an important part in my own salvation, I have a deep appreciation for sharing the gospel through media. My prayer is that my songs might reach someone just as that television ministry reached me.
I especially love weaving Scripture into my music. As I reflect on God’s promises, His mercy, and His guidance, I want to put those truths into words and melodies that listeners can carry with them throughout the day. My hope is that the songs will not only encourage people but also inspire them to open their Bibles and discover more of God’s Word for themselves.
Life can be heavy. People face fear, loss, uncertainty, and seasons when they feel alone. Through my song ministry, I want to remind listeners that they are loved, that they can turn to Jesus, and that there is hope even in difficult times. Whether a song offers comfort, invites reflection, or encourages someone to pray, my desire is to point hearts toward Him.
I am grateful for the opportunity to create music with that purpose. Whether I am working on a country gospel song, a worship song, or a heartfelt musical testimony, I want the message to remain centered on Jesus—His love, His forgiveness, and His invitation to a new life in Him.
I do not write simply to be heard. I write with the prayer that, through these songs, others will hear the message of God’s Word and draw closer to Him.
Thank you for taking the time to listen and for being part of this journey. If a song encourages you, I hope you will share it with someone who could use a little hope. You never know whose heart may be ready to hear the message that changed my life.
Amazing Grace
Thank You,
Tom Miller
