There's something special about pausing to look back. To take a breath, smile at the road behind you, and notice just how far you've traveled — together.
At Still Waters Community Fellowship, that's exactly what this season feels like. Our church has been on a journey, and lately, that journey has taken some beautiful turns. If you've walked through our doors recently, you've probably felt it. A little more warmth. A little more life. A space that feels cared for, loved, and ready for whatever comes next.
So grab a cup of tea and settle in. Let's celebrate this milestone together.
A Journey Worth Celebrating
Every church has a story, and ours is still being written.
Over time, we've grown. Not just in the little details you can see, but in the spirit you can feel the moment you step inside. Our shared space has been recently expanded and given fresh care and attention. Those changes reflect something deeper than any single improvement. They reflect the love this congregation pours into the place we call home.
We won't try to list every update here — honestly, the best way to experience it is to come see for yourself. But we can tell you this much: it feels different now. Brighter. Warmer. More like the welcoming home we've always dreamed of building together.
The September Picnic: A Sweet Kind of Togetherness
On Sunday, September 13, 2026, our community came together at 20 Still Point Lane in Mechanicville to celebrate all of it, and what a day it was.
The morning began with an outdoor worship service at 10:00 AM, held right near the main sign at the property entrance. There's something about worshipping outside, open sky overhead, neighbors gathered close, that reminds you what this is all really about.
Next, we sat down together for a picnic. Familiar faces and brand-new ones. The easy hum of conversation. Laughter drifting across the gathering. That comfortable feeling of belonging that settles in when good people share a little time together.
Guests had the chance to meet Pastor Mike and members of the congregation, tour the recently expanded church space, and learn more about the community that's growing here at Still Waters. For some, it was a first visit. For others, it was a homecoming. Either way, it was the kind of day that sticks with you long after you've headed home.
The picnic was more than an event. It was a snapshot of who we are, a family that keeps showing up for one another, season after season.
More Than Walls and Windows
Here's the truth: the improvements to our space matter because of the people inside it.
Every bit of care we've put into this place is really an act of care for one another. We wanted a home that says "you belong here" the second you arrive. A place where longtime members feel refreshed and first-time visitors feel instantly at ease.
That's the heart behind all of it. Not perfection, but love. Not showing off, but making room. Room for more stories, more friendships, and more moments that remind us why we gather in the first place.
Grateful for Every Step
We're grateful. Deeply, genuinely grateful.
Grateful for the hands that helped. The hearts that showed up. The community that keeps growing stronger together. This milestone doesn't belong to a few people. It belongs to all of us.
When we look back at where we started and see where we are now, it's hard not to feel hopeful. Something good is happening here at Still Waters, and we're only getting warmed up.
Come See for Yourself
If you've been part of this journey, thank you. Your presence is the whole point. Every prayer, every meal shared, every Sunday you chose to show up has helped shape this place into what it is today.
And if you're new around here, or maybe you've simply driven past and wondered what's been going on at Still Waters, consider this your invitation. Come see the expanded space. Meet Pastor Mike and the congregation. Pull up a chair and find your place at the table.
Whether you're searching for a church home, hoping to feel more connected locally, or just curious, you are welcome here. No dress code. No pressure. Just warm faces and a genuine welcome waiting for you.
We've come a long way. And the best part? We're only just getting started.
Come as you are. There's a seat waiting for you at Still Waters Community Fellowship.
